CAD Applications Overview
- CoOrdinator
-
CoOrdinator provides a convenient and easy way to import
or export data into and out of AutoCAD using just about any
ASCII format. This data can be brought into AutoCAD as points,
polylines or even a block. Export data can include non-coordinate
data such as text string values or symbol/block attribute
data.
- Survey Draughting
-
CGSS has developed Survey draughting systems for open pit,
bord and pillar, open stoping, and underground filling operations.
The systems have been built around automated data input from
Total Stations, data loggers and GPS (global positioning systems).
These are linked, through automated drawing production and
mapping operations, to blast design and mining control applications.
The systems routinely interface with the major mine planning
and geological modelling systems for data exchange, and are
widely used for the production of presentation quality drawings
of the output from the mine planning systems.
- Stability Monitoring
-
An AutoCAD based system for maintaining a database of measurement
data relating to monitored movement of points in space. Originating
in the monitoring of Pit slopes, this software has applications
in all fields of engineering. The system handles automated
and manual data input and covers data from prisms, extensometers,
piezometers and drainage wells.
- WemGIS, point based
GIS
-
CGSS has developed a package marketed as WemGIS for the management
of water resources based on borehole and measure-point point
data sources. The system manages physical, chemical, geological
and hydrogeological data as well as geophysics (surface and
downhole) and meteorological data and allows for full interrogation
at database level as well as via a fully fledged graphical
GIS.
- Generalised co-ordinate
and database connectivity
-
CGSS has developed many client specific systems based on
the integration of a co-ordinate based data set linked to
a non-graphic database allowing interrogation of both graphic
and non-graphic databases from either application. Applications
vary from drawing management systems, through mine planning
systems and to Servitude rights databases for controlling
rights issues.
- Geological Compositing
-
Integrated with the blast design systems are a suite of programs
to handle the blast compositing of open pit blasts. The compositing
system allows users to do colour coded compositing in 3D on
actual surveyed blast hole locations and to then generate
co-ordinate files for staking of the composites via Total
stations. Composite data is also available for export to any
other geological ore reserve modelling system.
- Face Mapping
-
The CGSS Face mapping system makes the collection of Geological
lithological and structural data from digital photographs
or in-situ mapping simple and spatially accurate. The system
allows the collected data to be transferred to any other geological
modelling system.
